RRB NTPC 2019 Selection procedure:

Different Stages in RRB NTPC recruitment is as follows:

• First Stage RRB NTPC Online Examination - RRB NTPC Stage 1 Exam- Preliminary Test – Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Second Stage Examination - RRB NTPC Stage 2 Exam - Mains Test – Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Typing Test (Skill Test) only for the posts of Jr. Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist and Sr. Clerk-cum-Typist.
• Aptitude Test only for the posts of Assistant Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant.
• Document Verification
• Medical Fitness Test
• Final Merit List

RRB NTPC Selection procedure varies according to various posts which is mentioned in the following table in a detailed manner.

RRB NTPC 2019 Stage 1 Exam Pattern:

RRB NTPC Stage 1 Exam - Prelims exam is conducted in online mode only. RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam comprises of 100 multiple choice questions under 4 main subject categories namely Arithmetic Ability, Reasoning Ability & General Intelligence, General Awareness and General Science. Total marks allotted for RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam is 100 marks and Total Duration of RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam is 90 mins.

Negative Marking:- There will be negative marking of 1/3 for each wrong answer. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by you, there will be no negative marking for that question.

In order to get promote to next stage of RRB NTPC recruitment, Candidates have to qualify the RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam mentioned above, by securing cut-off marks as decided by RRB. Those who qualify the RRB NTPC Stage 1 Exam will be called for next stage i.e., RRB NTPC Stage 2 - Mains Examination.

RRB NTPC 2019 Stage 2 Exam Pattern:

RRB NTPC Stage 2 Mains exam is conducted in online mode only. RRB NTPC Stage 2 Mains exam comprises of 120 multiple choice questions under 4 main subject categories namely Arithmetic Ability, Reasoning Ability & General Intelligence, General Awareness and General Science. Total marks allotted for RRB NTPC Stage 2 Mains exam is 120 marks and Total Duration of RRB NTPC Stage 2 exam is 90 mins.

RRB NTPC 2019 Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test Pattern:

Based on the performance in RRB NTPC Stage 2 Exam, RRB result has been published to scrutinize and shortlist the candidates for the next stage of RRB NTPC exam. RRB will conduct

• Aptitude Test only for the posts of Assistant Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant

• Typing Skill Test only for the posts of Junior Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist  & Senior Clerk-cum-Typist

Aptitude Test

Aptitude Test will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, only for the posts of Assistant Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant. The ratio of RRB result of NTPC 2nd stage CBT (Computer Based Test) marks and 3rd stage aptitude test marks shall be 70 : 30.

Typing Skill Test

Typing Test will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, only for the posts of  Jr. Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist and Sr. Clerk-cum-Typist. Candidates appearing in Typing Skill Test have to type in the language opted for Typing Skill Test during on-line application stage viz. 300 words at the minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 250 words at 25 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer within 10 minutes to qualify in the test else they will be eliminated from the selection process.
